Dental caries and periodontal diseases are the two main afflictions to mankind. Bacterial plaque is solely responsible for the initiation and progression of periodontal diseases. A few important benefits of Miswak Hamdard Peelu toothpaste.

  • Fights plaque effectively.
  • Fights against caries.
  • Removes bad breath and odor from mouth.
  • Creates a fragrance in the mouth.
  • Increases salivation and hence inhibits dry mouth.

Description

Salvadora persica (Miswak): Studies have indicated that salvadora persica contains substances that possess plaque inhibiting and antibacterial properties against several types of cariogenic (conducive to caries) bacteria which are frequently found in the oral cavity. The growth and acid production of these bacteria is thus inhibited. Silica in miswak  acts as an abrasive material to remove stains, giving the teeth whiteness.

Sodium monofluorophosphate: Fluoride is the only well-documented agent as one of the “ten greatest public health achievements of the 20th century”. Fluoridation is widely accepted by dentists as being useful. The fluoride ions reduce the rate of tooth enamel demineralization and increase the rate of re-mineralization of the early stages of cavities.
